Okay, as you should know, SOPA and PIPA are NOT dead. They have just been withdrawn and could be revived at ANY TIME. What you should also know is that while everyone was protesting SOPA, officials behind the curtain were trying pass an even more heinous censorship law- ACTA -to pass.  On top of this, several other censorship laws, similar to SOPA and PIPA, have recently emerged (such as Bill C-11 a Canadian version of SOPA) and are trying to be pushed into passing.

SUPER URGENT UPDATE!: There at it again, this time our enemy is the UNITED NATIONS! Or rader a devishon of them known as the ITU (International Telecommunication Union). On December 3rd the governments of the world plan to hand over complete control of the internet to the ITU were they would have the power to do whatever they wanted and they wouldn't have to tell us, until it was far to late for us to do anything. Among some of the tings that have already started to be discussed are legitimize monitoring and blocking online traffic, seeking to impose new fees for accessing content, and slowing down connection speeds.

for more info and a petition you can sign www.whatistheitu.org/?ref=an
and here's ander petition you can sign www.protectinternetfreedom.net…

Any and all of these will allow them "reason" to shut your internet off. This is a clear violation of your freedoms, if you live in the U.S. or the U.K.  If you'd like to hear more about this horrifying problem and do something to try and stop it, please go here. A petition for this can be found here.

UPDATE 1: While we weren't paying attention, Bill C-11 has gained major ground and is now literally a step away from being passed. TPPA, which seemed to have fallen off the map, recently reemerged as well as a threat. The media has stopped covering it's imminent passing. If you wish to become more involved and stop this bill from passing, there's a posting regarding TPPA here. To sign a petition against Bill C-11 go here.

UPDATE 2: Thanks to :icontecuciztecatlocelotl: for the flowing info. It has recently come to my attention that a new threat is on the horizon. The TPPA Bill (Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement) is a new privatized bill in development by:

:bulletorange: The United States
:bulletorange: Australia
:bulletorange: Peru
:bulletorange: Malaysia
:bulletorange: Vietnam
:bulletorange: New Zealand
:bulletorange: Chile
:bulletorange: Singapore
:bulletorange: Brunei Darussalam

It is being developed in secret and if passed would be similar to ACTA*, but much worse. More information on these bills can be found here and here.
*the only reason we know anything about these bills it is due to information leaks.

UPDATE 3: TPPA is currently going thew the final stages to become finalized! A potison revelling some more info about this with the intent to try and stop it, you can find read and sign this petition HERE

If you're questioning the reality of these bills passing just look at the current political climate towards violators:

:bulletorange: The seizing and shut down of servers for sites like MegaUpload and the U.S. government's persuite to monitor and incarcerate MegaUpload creator, Kim Dot Com. None of these net censorship laws have even been passed yet and they are carrying them out already! here.
:bulletorange: The extradition of U.K. College Student, Richard O'Dwyer for linking to copyrighted material on his website, and put him on trial to be thrown into jail in the U.S. here.
:bulletorange: The various $10,000- 5 years in prison charges for pirating music/software/games/movies/etc.

These laws need to be revoked and destroyed, and our anti-censorship movements are the ones that NEED enforcement.
If you are still not convinced then consider this, free information sources and salesmen are all at risk:

:bulletorange: Wikipedia
:bulletorange: Youtube
:bulletorange: DeviantArt
:bulletorange: Etsy
:bulletorange: Tumblr
:bulletorange: Facebook
:bulletorange: Pandora

All of these sites allow users to distribute copyrighted information, including fan-art as freely as they like! They will disappear without a fight or a struggle but with a silent whisper without you help.

If you want to do something about this and formally protest on DeviantArt, scroll to the contest bellow for details!

Further information for informing neigh-sayers! :

:bulletorange: The guys pushing these bills are the same people who created and distributed file-sharing software.
:bulletorange: These bills violate the first amendment by censoring a media outlet.
:bulletorange: Share this video with them.
:bulletorange: And one of the largest, most outrageous ideas that the U.S. government wants passed is one for an internet kill-switch to perform media black-outs. This is the most massive invasions of privacy and a violation of the constitution.

And as promised here are the people who have entered thus far:
