The ISP is planing to do away with Net Neutrality, allowing big name sites to pay to have their sites load faster wile slowing down smaller sites. This goes against the idea of the free and open internet and will hurt everyone except for the most rich and powerful people on earth. Don't believe me? Here are some video links to explain what killing Net Neutrality would do.

and here are some links to some text based explanations:

lukaly that was sorted out in our favor, (even if company's like Comcast and Viacom are trying to get laws pased that would make the FCC Net Neutrality ruled irreverent), but what's more important currently is stopping the TPP as it's allowed to pass, it will make SOPA look like a kitty toy in comparison (matter of fact it seems as if a massive chunk of SOPA has been worked into the trade deal) more details www.theguardian.com/commentisf…

I'm not that worried about it anymore since I heard something that say the chances of it it happening are very slim, since Obama waited so long to bring it up.

Also since it's something Obama helped come up with I doubt it would be passed anyway.

It's gotten shockingly far actually, so far that all that needs to happen for it to get passed is for more government people to say YES, to it in a vote, then to say NO, and then for Obama to sign it into law (witch if given the chance he will)

and as for the Obama helped come up with it thing, he's been trying to force it thew, but it's mostly been major comcomerite coperasons that have been making it with the help of some corrupt pollatisons, not to mencon it's been in the works since the Bush Administration was in power

If this goes through, will that mean I won't be able to watch One Piece?!
That means I'll never know if Luffy becomes the King of the Pirates!  D:
SAVE NET NEUTRALITY!
Censorship's already bad enough.

Honestly, it depends on were you watched it, if you were to watch it on some major site that's willing to pay the ISP's extra to speed up there site, (ex. GoogleTube) then you probobly wod'nt have that much trouble, but if you were to try and watch it on a smaller site that's unwilling or unable to pay the ISP's extra to speed up there site, then chaceis are you'd have to waght a LONG time just to acis the site (assuming the network dos'nt refuse to load the site cos it's taking to long to load), much less start loading the anime

I'm sorry, but all the webtoons in the world won't change the fact that Net Neutrality would make bandwidth for all be evenly spread and thus, small and minimal, no matter who's using it, no matter whether or not they're actually online or not.

For that reason alone, I oppose it.

That's not true at all, The Internet has had Net Neutrality sence it's insepson, and the ISP's arrant even using all the bandwidth thay have at there disposal
If you don't believe me watch 1 of the videos I embedded into this jernol (I personally recommend the 1st 1 but it dos'nt matter all THAT much), or do some recurceh on your own

You'll beg my pardon if I don't give credence to someone who's clearly either fresh off the boat and has been too busy acclimatizing to America to research the ill-named 'Net Neutrality' or is elsewise a victim of a standard, poor, public education.

And like I said, all the cute cartoons in the world won't change my mind because I actually looked at the documents.

People want the stupid bill because it sounds nice and because it will 'stick it to the man'.

I have no interest in feel-good politics.

and as I sead, to look at 1 of the video's OR do some recurceh on your own. I'm not fresh off the boat, I am quite familiar with politics and more over the internet. I'm an actavest for the protection of the world wide web and when I hear of a potencol thrit to it I do recerch to find out what it is and how big of a deal it relly is, after doing so I find that I agree that the thing would be a trit to the net I go out of my way to tell other people about the trit and why they should care.

If you were already of the mindset that you want Net Neutrality to be abolished and refuse to listen to the arguments as to why that would be a bad thing then why did you boder looking at or commenting on this jernol?

*attempts to reword the privios comment to hopefully make it easier to understand*

Then click on 1 of the text links or look up the data for your self, I am quite knowledgeable in the internet, how it works, and what things would be potencaly bad for it. and if I see something that would be dangerous for it I'll look up more info about it and if I don't find stuff saporting the potencaly dangerous thing I'll go and try to let as meny other people as I can know about it and why it's bad so that the potencol thrit to the internet can be stopped before it's too late.

If you had already decided that Net Neutrality should be scraped and refuse to lissen to the fact's saying that it shouldn't then why did you boder to come here, read this, & comment here?

I oppose net neutrality because of the devil in the details.

Do you want to do with this, what Nancy fucking Pelosi said about ObamaCare? Vote on it to find out what's in it?

Because when you're sitting there at your computer, waiting five minutes for an internet page to load, you'll damned well know what was in it.

Yeah. But as long as provisions exist in that bill that screw over all internet goers by castrating ISP's ability to conduct bandwidth based on use, then I will never support it.
